The Tokyo Business School, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and University of London jointly hosted the first international conference on the topic of "Bridging Worlds: Asian and Western Perspectives" in Japan (2016). The conference was held as a result of the Japan Foundation’s biannual At-Large Fellowship Program for U.S. scholars at Tokyo universities and was also co-organised by Shogakukan. The conference brought together scholars from the United States, Europe and Asia to discuss cross-cultural perspectives of literature and media.
